We’re two UNC students. Northline started with something we kept noticing around Chapel Hill.
The electrician everyone recommends. The plumbing company that’s been around for years. Businesses with good reputations, and almost nothing online. Some had no website at all. Others had one that hadn’t changed in a long time, and was hard to use on a phone.
That matters more than it sounds. Most people look a business up before they call. If what they find is a map pin and a phone number, a lot of them keep scrolling, and call whoever looks more established.
So we started building the sites we thought these businesses deserved. We named the studio after the north line: the reference line a survey starts from, the one everything else is measured against. For most of your customers, that’s your website.
